If you have ever been subject to having to call upon the needs of an ambulance you will know that you just wan them to be with you as urgently and quickly as possible.
Vehicle Tracking Systems, Satellite Navigation and mobile data seem to be all features are generally standard in all the new ambulances.
This should in theory cut down on response times as it will hopefully eliminate wasted time by situations where they are unable to find the incident. Tracking systems can also be used by the call centres to find the exact location of their ambulance and which ambulance is closest to the incident and can respond the quickest.
Records of journeys can be kept and these could be potentially used for checking overall response times, locating areas where there has been difficulties getting to or with real time tracking be able to guide the ambulances in step by step.
GPS tracking systems are set to continue their development t and be seen more and more in fleets of vehicles covering a wide range of businesses and services. They are not set out to spy on employees but become a management tool that is critical in the success of productivity of businesses worldwide.
