Is it neurotic to want to track your child? Are we becoming obsessive over wanting to know there every move? Can we really track them 24 hours a day and continue a normal balanced life?
These are just some of the questions mothers and fathers are now asking themselves and contemplating the purchase of such child tracking systems. Some of these tracking systems allow you to know at all times where your child is within 3 metres at all times of the day, any day of the year!
I’m sure all parents have been in the situation where they have turned their backs for a mere second and when they turn back the child has vanished. Unfortunately the instant fear is no longer that they have run off into a nearby sweetshop but that it is something far more sinister.
The danger is, once you begin tracking your child in every possible way with things such as facebook, twitter and or a tracking device, potentially when they finally fly the nest and go travelling, that when you don’t hear from them for a day, your fear is quadrupled. Gone are the days when a postcard was enough to know they were safe.
