Lift truck fleets are becoming increasing tracked as warehouse and facility managers are becoming more under pressure to reduce maintenance costs.
By using a tracking system which supplies real time data managers can track any kind of maintenance or likewise costs on their lift truck fleets and this can be done in a lone warehouse or multiple buildings.
By being able to review this data regularly it gives managers the ability to analyse the effectiveness of the fleet and potentially determine causes where maintenance is needed and therefore put actions in place to reduce this in the future.
Details can be entered into a system by the lift truck worker i.e. work order number, identification details, hours spent on maintenance etc. Once this information is transferred to data it can be used to collate all types of records and logs not only on the vehicle but the employee as well.
With detailed information the outcome could mean that the managers can find out the hourly work rate of each truck and determine which ones are possibly performing the best.
Reducing costs and increasing productivity are vitally important for any business, some businesses may feel their company is too complicated to obtain data on but the sophisticated systems of today’s market should be able to adjust to any business needs, it’s just locating where those needs are and then drilling down on them. Vehicle Tracking Devices certainly do that.
