For the majority of companies the safety of their employees is of the highest importance, especially to those companies whose employees work in hazardous/high risk environments such as security, construction, haulage and home visiting staff.

Tracking systems are already helping many companies monitor their mobile workers movements, significantly increasing their safety.

The 2 main categories of tracking are ‘lone worker’ and vehicle; both of these systems have a number of features focused on maximising employee safety.

Vehicle Tracking

Fleet vehicle tracking systems are mainly focused on providing operational and cost saving benefits to companies. However, these systems increase driver safety as managers are able to monitor their movements and ensure that they are not speeding and not exceeding journey limitation guidelines. In addition many vehicle tracking systems offer Panic/SOS buttons which can be used to raise a discreet alert that they are in distress.

Lone Worker Tracking

These systems are very much focused on safety. Lone worker tracking devices can come in the form of an Identity Badge, mobile phone, walkie talkie and a small tag. The nature of your employees work determines which device best suits your mobile workers. The safety features include Panic/SOS buttons and automated ‘man down’ alerts.
