Road Angel was recently featured in an article written in the SuperBike magazine. Road Angel have been know previously and still are for their speed camera warning devices and have now branched out into security also.
They have released a new product called Bike Trac which is a small unit that can be fitted to a bike and track every movement it makes. This is possible by using GPS satellite tracking technology combined with GPRS mobile phone technology.
Whoever the bike it is which you are tracking or maybe just your own in case it ever may be stolen then this device is discreet and can be hidden anywhere on a bike. It has the ability to give live data which can be viewed via the internet on a secure website on a central server.
This system can quite obviously be used for tracking stolen bikes but systems alike have been used to track major biking events and tours. It can also be used to track your own route so you can see how many miles you have done and which routes you have taken etc.
Motorbikes are and always will be attractive to thieves and records show around fifty thousand bikes are stolen each year. Almost half of these bikes are never recovered and the owners will never see them again.
If you are tracking your bike and not with it at the time, Road angles Bike Trac can alert you via an SMS message if the bike is being moved i.e being stolen.
