In March 2010 TomTom WORK launched two new products that will further help businesses record driver hours and manage their mileage in an efficient manner.
The devices released are remote control which are designed to help companies cost save and improve on efficiency. The LINK working time product gives employers a complete insight into employee activity when they are on the road. This product takes the need away for manual timesheets as driver hours can be monitored and in turn this helps with driver productivity. Being a remote control device it is simple to use and allows drivers to identify themselves and enter an ID key which is unique to them. Once this is done the information can be automatically passed through to the company. Managers can obtain reports on their employees of exact starting times, finish times and any breaks and stops.
The LINK logbook will help companies increase their efficiency and productivity both on the road and in the office. At the start of each journey the driver can press a button which will then register their journey as a commute being a personal trip or work related. Individuals alongside group mileage can then be monitored by the fleet manager, logged and then integrated with the company’s payroll and billing systems for accurate, smarter and faster payments.
In a nutshell, the remote LINK working time device will now allow businesses to keep a track of the hours drivers have worked and the remote LINK logbook can offer businesses the chance to record both business and personal mileage.
