TomTom Work Help Yuill & Dodds Ltd Leave Their Archaic Tracking System Behind

When Scottish haulage contractor Yuill & Dodds Ltd decided to replace their existing tracking systems they did so with connected navigation from TomTom WORK. They now receive live information at the touch of a single button for their tippers, trucks and vans.
The company has more than 100 vehicles so keeping tracking of them is essential to their business. The vehicle tracking system they had fitted prior to moving to TomTom WORK was simply not satisfying the needs of the business as first and foremost the company needs live information at their fingertips.

Yuill & Dodds Ltd needed a system that would be able to combine tracking with connected navigation and after searching for a tracking system that could do this they found TomTom WORK.

It was October of 2006 that they first integrated TomTom connected navigation into their fleet. They fitted 6 of their service vans and 109 trucks with a TomTom link BLACK BOX and the TomTom GO navigation system. Immediately Yuill & Dodds Ltd were able to improve on their quality management.

Live information offers the fleet manager greater control over a fleet and customers a high level of customer service and satisfaction by being able to give accurate delivery times.

Maintenance and services of vehicles can also be monitored as when a vehicle goes in for a service the fleet manager can tell when the ignition is on or off ensuring that the work has been done to the standard required.

Some of the major improvements that Yuill & Dodds Ltd have found are a reduction in their phone bills, fuel savings and saving on time spent by drivers navigating to locations as they can now find and locate their destination first time.
