Thermo King has launched a product called TracKing. It’s a web based product and one of the benefits it can offer is monitoring temperature to ensure that goods that require to be chilled in transit arrive at the customers in top quality condition.
If the temperature goes over or under its set optimum level the driver will be alerted and can immediately fix the issue. Without this a whole load being carried could potentially be lost.
In addition to this the data on the vehicle can be downloaded to the TracKing website. With the companies understanding of the transport industry, they understand the need to cut costs and optimise on their assets. They are now offering the TracKing solution alongside their refrigeration unit at point of sale.
It is reported that their next addition to the TracKing solution will be fleet management, as with all companies, they have produced a product and then will work on add ons. This will be perfect for companies that transport food as they can combine management and keeping the product in the best conditions.
