One of the leading Haulage and Courier firms has recently announced that it has managed to cut down hugely on overtimes and increased backloads after installing Navman Wireless systems into their vehicles totalling around twenty five.
Prior to installing Navman Wireless the company had solely relied upon a timesheet focused administration process for totalling overtime and driver hours.
The company reported that since having a vehicle tracking system installed they have seen a reduction in timesheet errors, false entries onto timesheets and wasted time between routes.
By having drivers complete their working days at a variety of different times often when the office staff have left the building it has been difficult to record the hours they have actually done, now vehicle tracking is installed this report can be automatically generated and there is no scope for errors and or drivers saying that they have finished an hour later which could always be feasible beforehand.
By using a tracking system Sprintshift were able to monitor their vehicles throughout the day and check that they were not parking up for longer than permitted and ensure their drivers took the routes set out to them, if anything does not appear correct, the driver will be contacted.
