For any company that is intending to purchase a tracking system there are a few things that must be considered. It is essential that companies choose the payment option that will suit them best to ensure that the tracking system is affordable and that it meets their return on investment objectives. The most common payment options that are being provided by tracking suppliers are outright purchase, pay as you go, renting, monthly subscription and leasing.
An outright purchase requires a single upfront payment for the total cost of the tracking hardware, installation and data and software access for an agreed period (normally 36 months). Through making an outright purchase, customers can often benefit from significantly cheaper pricing compared to the other payment options. In addition, customers do not need to be concerned with having to pay further costs or interest but some companies may not be comfortable with paying a large amount of money in advance.
Pay as you go, renting and monthly subscription normally require a smaller upfront payment for the hardware and installation which is then followed by a fixed monthly subscription. These payment options are ideal for companies that want to pay for their tracking system on a monthly basis and do not wish to enter/or are unable to obtain a lease deal.
