A Yorkshire based construction company, Flannery Hire, have recently installed a web-based anti theft tracking system by Masternaut Three X.
Masternaut’s system is set to protect the owners of high value equipment such as telehandlers and excavators. By using the Masternaut Asset Track system owners are able to automatically survey and self monitor their assets. Flannery Hire is using the Masternaut system on sites throughout the North of England.
Masternaut have proven the benefit of this system as it has already helped Flannery Hire find and recover an excavator within a few hours of being stolen.
By having this Anti theft device installed it brings Flannery Hire peace of mind knowing where their equipment is at all times.
Plant theft is high and The National Plant Equipment Register has in the region of 10,000 thefts that are registered on their database and insurers also report a high number of thefts. Thefts increase insurance premiums and therefore making sure the fleet is secure and tracked can help in time to reduce these for everyone.
By installing the Masternaut web-based anti-theft tracking system, companies know that if a piece of equipment is stolen then they have a very good chance of recovering it quickly and therefore will not be left with a large bill to replace it, even when insurance applies as some companies have excesses of around £10,000 before anything is paid out.
