In recent news Navman Wireless are said to have helped Lincolnshire based co-operative improve their communications and services to its stores.
Lincolnshire Co-op have rolled out Navman’s tracking system throughout their delivery fleet which they have seen immediate results to through improved visibility of their fleet and increased control over their fleet.
Having communicated with their drivers via two way radio equipment, having a tracking system installed has changed this.
Management are now able to make contact with their drivers with a touch of a button which provided the drivers with instructions via their in cab devices. This is extremely valuable to the co-op as they can divert their vehicles at short notice when needed.
Stores now have the ability to know up to date information on when their delivery will arrive and the warehouse management team can prepare deliveries for the afternoon before the vehicles return to the distribution centre, this has increased the efficiency of this side of the business.
