In a recent report Navman are said to have produced a system which eliminates the issue many employers have with propositioning installing tracking systems into employee’s cars. Of course this is not a choice for employees to make, however it all makes for a better working environment if they are happy to have a tracking system installed.
In times gone by, they have not agreed and some may say quite rightly so with also being able to be tracked when they are out of work hours, a somewhat invasion of privacy.
Navman has introduced a switch which will then enable the driver to switch between business and personal use and therefore the management or whoever is monitoring the driver’s movements loses the vehicle from their screen when the driver switches it to private.
Navman are said to believe that a lot of company’s reluctance to install tracking is due to the resistance faced by employees and this new way of dealing with tracking solves that in an instance.
The benefits of vehicle tracking should now be well known in most industries and this just makes them a little more appealing, especially to the sales fleets out there who really do need to know their sales teams movements and maximise their time on the road.
