Masternaut Run Rings Around The Rest!

Masternaut, one of the leading providers in Fleet Tracking Systems has recently landed a contract with one of the leading highway services provider, Ringway Jacobs. Masternaut will be providing a wireless vehicle and asset management solution.

With this new technology Ringway Jacobs will be able to respond to emergencies and use skilled teams with the correct equipment on board to do this. This will inevitably reduce frustration to all road users as highways can be cleared and traffic can get moving using alternative routes.

The system will incorporate vehicle tracking technology and active RFID tags which can be attached to portable equipment. Theses tags can be read by loading area readers which are fitted to the maintenance vehicles and link in to a masternaut onboard telematics system. With this a visual inventory is created as assets are being loaded on and off the vehicle and can be seen on a screen in the control room.

Emergencies can be monitored in real time from the initial call out to the completion of the job. On completion the system and the customer are notified which of course is extremely helpful for customer services improvements.

It has been reported that Ringway Jacobs have already seen an increase in response and service levels. The asset management side of things helps reduce costs by reducing lost or redundant equipment.
