Masternauts latest tracking technology is helping Nottinghamshire County Council to monitor their vehicles, plant and employees working around the clock.
Nottinghamshire County Council are using Masternauts personal ‘resource management’ system which gives the council a global view of its fleet in real time. Because of this they have been able to enhance their levels of service to the customer, improve in safety within the field and also reduce their costs.
This system is fully integrated and utilises Masternauts Lokate Loneworker Solution and their Asset Track plant security devices.
Nottinghamshire County Council tracks around 200 vehicles using Masternauts system and their vehicles include vans, trucks, lorries, gritters and many more. The system has many benefits such as making sure staff working alone are safe during site visits and also monitors their plant assets such as diggers, wood shedders and ride on mowers.
Nottinghamshire County Council have said that the system gives them a bird’s eye view of all of their resources and gives them the ability to monitor all activities in real time whilst producing historical reports for each individual vehicle or plant or an overall of all vehicles. It has helped to improve on efficiency and productivity and provide the all important two way communication for staff and manager when they are working alone.
The council are also able to stop the use of vehicles for unauthorised journeys and improve of their route planning management.
The council also say that over a period of 2 months they have save around fifteen hundred litres of fuel which is a vast saving and proof why all businesses should have tracking systems installed.
