Lone worker tracking systems are helping many companies to ensure the safety of their employees, especially those that work in dangerous or high risk environments.

Lone worker tracking systems are available in a variety of devices all suited to their intended application or operating environment.

Tracking devices in the form of Identity Badges are a discreet way for an employee to carry a tracking device as it may form part of their uniform and will therefore not arise any suspicion from patients of customers. Identity badge tracking devices not only monitor an employee’s movements but also allow them to raise an immediate alert when in distress by simply activating a pull cord trigger. These devices have proved to be ideal for employees such as health/prison workers that make home visits.

There are many other tracking devices that are available including mobile phone, tracking integrated Walkie Talkies and small tags no larger than a business card. These devices can serve a number of purposes from simply locating an individual, boosting safety or by means of raising an alarm when urgent assistance is needed. Many mobile phones & PDAs can be purchased already enabled with GPS. These devices can often be supplied under a company’s mobile phone contract and in turn reduce costs of the tracking hardware.
