Companies that have mobile staff working in potentially dangerous environments where their safety is at risk may consider introducing a lone worker tracking system. These systems not only allow companies to monitor the movements and productivity of their employees, but also dramatically increase their safety.
Employees may even feel at risk when they are required to enter people’s homes as part of their job, especially health and probation service workers. Many lone worker tracking systems have been specifically designed for employees working in these environments. These tracking devices are very discreet and include a panic / SOS alarm. The devices are available in the form a small device carried by the employee, an employee’s mobile phone or an identity badge that forms part of the employees uniform.
The panic alarm allows employees that are in distress to quickly raise an alert, and they can usually be activated through a button on the device or a ‘pull chord’ trigger. Depending on your company’s resources and office operating hours the tracking device can either alert the office or a 24 hour manned control centre. Either way you can be sure that employees in need of assistance will be attended to as quickly as possible.
