In a recent report published it was announced that a leading fresh produce supplier has taken on board a system from Isotrak which is said to offer an Active Management Transport System which will improve the tracking of its delivery fleet.
The system will allow the company to pinpoint areas of inefficiency. For example, unauthorised stops and excessive time spent on turnaround. By improving on these they can then begin to work on accuracy with delivery times and such things.
The tracking system can also monitor the refrigerator performance i.e. temperatures and the trailer temperature which is highly important for the movement of food.
For companies who are in the industry of transporting food say it is vital that when running an operation where there can be many different product lines from multiple sites that deliver to some of Europe most demanding retailers to retain the highest standards of fleet visibility and customer service. It is because of this that Isotrak have installed their systems as they have the ability to analyse fleets performance and pinpoint ways to boost efficiency. It can mean giving the company a fresh new edge to their competitors.
