The difficult economic climate that businesses are facing at the present time need not prevent companies taking advantage of GPS vehicle tracking systems as a means of cutting costs.
The usual way in which a GPS vehicle tracking system was acquired used to be either leasing or buying the system outright. This was fine for large fleet companies but not ideal for small to medium sized businesses which are finding it increasingly hard to get a good enough credit rating to enable them to qualify for leasing deals. It is a more expensive option but not as expensive as operating at a disadvantage by missing out on being able to compete with their rivals in the form of fuel savings, accurate timesheets and expense claims. Other advantages include reductions in maintenance costs as only authorised journeys can be made, the ability to give your clients the current location and estimated delivery of their consignment.
