The main aim of installing a tracking system, for many companies, is so that they can monitor where their mobile workforce are at all times. A tracking system can also be used as a preventative measure in that if employees know that they are being tracked they will perform their work roles, and the times required.

Expenses and time sheets can be submitted through the tracking system, saving your office staff time. This also prevents abuse in the form of extra miles being added to an expense claim so that the employee benefits. The tracking system will not allow employees to do this because the data is not manually imputed.

Employees can, understandably, be upset by the introduction of a tracking system. However, in can work to their advantage. Many tracking systems allow employees to still have privacy over their personal journeys as they can specify if the journey is personal or work related using a dallas key system, and if the journey was personal then it will not be visible to managers.

Also, employees that are hard working can have their work rewarded. Employees who are struggling in areas of their role will have the opportunity to have training to develop their skills. This kind of performance development can lead to promotion and pay rises.
