A GPS tracking device for tracking boats and watercraft has just been released in America called the Harpoon GPS tracking device. Boats that are moored in a marina can sometimes become target of crime. The Harpoon system allows you to monitor your craft twenty four hours a day.
The Harpoon device is operated with a key fob when you leave your watercraft moored. If your watercraft happens tampered with or moved a message and email will be automatically sent to you warning that this is happening. It allows you to track your crafts location, speed and direction on any type of device that has the ability to connect to the internet.
Another very good application available allows you to look back over your travelling history; it shows you your routes that you travelled in the past. Another feature is the optional addition is the GPS monitoring and recovery service, if your craft is compromised you will be alerted by a text message and phone call from a real person, they will then put a plan into action to recover your craft as quickly as possible.
Yet again this shows how GPS tracking can be used in so many different ways to keep your items protected.
