It is a common concern for many companies as to how their employees will react to the installations of a GPS fleet tracking system. These objections can be easily overcome by simply talking to staff and explaining the benefits that tracking will bring to the company.
Vehicle tracking benefits such as cost reductions and increased productivity will also serve to benefit employees as it can improve their opportunities for pay rises, bonuses, promotions and provide them with a greater sense of job security. Indeed many companies have been able to use their tracking system to motivate employees and encourage them to work to their best levels. Using data from the tracking system to produce performance charts and league tables allows them to acknowledge and reward their top performing drivers whilst still encouraging the rest to perform at their best levels.
The truth is that if an employee is doing what they are supposed to and working hard then they should have no cause for concern. As mentioned earlier it will only serve to recognise their hard work. Unfortunately, there may still be employees that will object to the installation of these systems and this could be due to the fact they are using a company vehicle for something they shouldn’t.
