Bluefinger which is the marine subsidiary of Cybit who are one of the leaders in the telematics industry has recently launched a product called Saffire-ERS.

This product is commercially available and helps the authorities by offering an electronic catch system which can record, process and report data captured when fishing so as to monitor catches are in accordance with the international fishing regulations in place.

By using this system, the authorities can wave goodbye to enormous amounts of paperwork as this system can manage large volumes of data from the moment they catch a fish to the point of sale. These reports can also include the type of fish caught.

With fishing regulations much talked about and monitoring the regulations not an easy thing to do, this Saffire-ERS system is a major breakthrough for authorities and is key to the success of maintaining sustainable fish stocks and having accurate and easily accessibly data to revert back to whenever necessary.

The system will help in the fight to eliminate illegal fishing and in doing so make the whole system fast, easy and efficient.
The Saffire-ERS system will not only work nationally but also internationally which is essential for the global combat of illegal fishing.
