Crawley Borough Council See The Benefits Of Tracking

In a recent document written, Crawley Borough Council are said to have cut their annual mileage down by around 11% per year since having a vehicle tracking systems installed.

The reported savings are said to be across their amenity service fleet of vehicles and by being able to track and log their movements their savings have come about.

They have embarked on a system produced by Masternaut who are one of the leaders in the tracking industry.  This system offers them live viewing of their vehicles, thus improving companies productivity and therefore making savings on fuel usage.

Masternaut has units that are installed into the vehicles so each individual vehicle and driver can be tracked around the borough, providing vehicle movements and locations at any given time and monitoring when all vehicles are back in at the end of each day.

Councils have to achieve the National indicator for efficient and by having this system installed by Masternaut this helps them to achieve that.  This is an important Key Performance Indicator and when reached helps save the council money and provide value to their customers.

The tracking systems provides historic data which can help which any customer enquiries that may arise by knowing exactly when a vehicle has arrived on site, the time they have spent on site and when they have left.
