Vehicle Tracking can be a sometimes misunderstood product. This article aims to clarify some of the most common misconceptions associated with vehicle tracking.
Managers can have reservations about installing a vehicle tracking system as they are worried that their employees will be upset when told that their vehicle will be having a tracking system installed into it. This is because it can be seen as an invasion of their privacy, and that their managers do not trust them. However, tracking can have lots of advantages for employees. Their hard work can be identified much more easily, or any training issues can be dealt with sooner, opening the door for financial gain for the employee.
Managers also have concerns about the amount of time vehicles will be off the road for whilst the tracking system is being installed. In fact, installations can be completed by many companies at your employee’s home address or any other convenient location, and vehicles shouldn’t be off the road for more than an hour.
Another common misconception is that a lot of the office staff’s time will be consumed by monitoring the tracking system. This is incorrect, as the tracking system provides historical live information so your staff can log in whenever necessary and it will provide them with all the data they need.
