In October 2009 CMS SupaTrak were awarded the IT innovation award at the GreenFleet awards held in London in recognition of their Ecotrak product.
The GreenFleet awards are held on an annual basis and are there to recognise companies and organisations that are contributing and advancing their products towards low carbon fleets and sustainable transport.
Applications this year were high and spanned across over 20 categories. CMS won the award for their involvement in advancements to fleet technology.
CMS SupaTrak provider businesses with fleets of vehicles across the UK and Ireland with fuel saving products and mobile working solutions.
The EcoTrak system is of course a fuel saving system and uses CANbus technology which means that managers can monitor their drivers in real time and their driving behaviours which can highlight areas of poor or indeed good performance.
Where drivers can be identified that may not be driving to the required standard i.e. long periods of idling, speeding, harsh braking and cruise control, it means that fleet managers can offer those drivers training and potentially award drivers for good driving behaviours which in effect will save the company money.
CMS SupaTrak are said to have a wide range of case studies and their vehicle fleet tracking has the ability to deliver target information to the fleet managers in the UK and Ireland.
