In February 2010 CMS SupaTrak were awarded by DSCEL the Diamond Standard Verification. This was awarded following CMS SupaTrak working through the verification process which was set by and established and regulated carbon emissions consultancy namely CICS, in full Complete Integrated Certification Services.
They assessed CMS SupaTrak’s EcoTrak system and the fact that this system has the ability to provide customers with actual and consistent carbon monitoring reports and reduces vehicle carbon emissions.
What Does Being Verified Mean?
Now CMS SupaTrak have been verified it means that organisations that choose to use EcoTrak are able to accurately measure the reduction of carbon emissions and sign over the ownership of the amount of reduction saved to DSCEL. DSCEL are then able to sell this carbon to generate funds that can then be used to invest in future and further carbon reduction activities.
It is thought that already a number of customers of EcoTrak have signed up for this to which there are no financial implications. It seems having such a system holds stakeholder appeal for companies and sets them up ready for any current or future legislative compliance.
