I-SATMO is an i-phone application which is said to be available to customers from June 18th 2010 and also available to download from the official apple site. I-SATMO will bring to customers their live tracking dashboard to their phone anywhere they are in the world.
Satmo are right up there in providing customer and consumer demands that are forever changing and moving and a rapid pace. This is an exciting new feature that Satmo have to offer.

SATMO4COURT is the second of the two new solutions to be released by Satmo. SATMO4COURT has been introduced to support those companies that provide their staff/drivers with fuel cards. The system has been set up to monitor the vehicle every time it is taken to a fuel station and cross references all the information i.e. driver, vehicle, fuel used etc. If there are any discrepancies throughout the checks the system automatically alerts and detailed reports will be generated as this could be a case of theft or misuse.

Gary Thompson, Satmo’s Managing Director is welcoming these two new products alongside two new members of staff. Samantha Crabtree is to be the Office Sales Manager and David Boon is to take on the position of their new Corporate Sales Manager.

The SATMO Smart unit has been designed with for items and machinery that do not have a continuous power supply.

SATMO’S smart unit has been designed with a lithium battery that can enable monitoring for up to one year on site. The unit has the capabilities to have a geo fence set up around the area the asset is in. If the asset then leaves the area that the geo fence is set to a signal will be sent to the customer to alert that the asset has left the area.

When the unit is set to active mode, SATMO’S servers will track the asset in real time and can work with the police to track and retrieve the asset. A back up battery can last up to 7 days and send signals every 60 seconds. SATMO claim that this unit has an accuracy of five metres and that 99.9 percent of assets can be recovered within 24 hours or within one hour of SATMO being notified of the asset going missing.

The unit is discreet and can be sprayed any colour, it is also free from stickers or any kind of logo.

• Outright Purchase (on a one, two or three year deal)
• Rental
• Pay As You Go

With many options on the market, what exactly do they mean?

Outright Purchase: This requires you to make a one off payment to cover you’re tracking systems and all other costs associated with it for a period of time decided upon.

Rental: This finance option offers full flexibility with a rolling month contract. You make three payments in advance alongside a set up fee and then can have the rental as long as you need, there are no cancellation costs and you can cancel with one months notice.

Pay As You Go: With this option you pay an initial fee for the unit and one month’s fee both in advance. This is always a good option if you are unsure of tracking and want to see for yourself the benefits it can bring to your company.

Leasing: The longer you can commit to leasing the cheaper the cost is for you and contracts can come from anything from 12 months to 60 months. This will give companies a fixed cost each month allowing for budgets to be set.
